The meat was very good quality and no extra sauces needed. SERVICE 10/10 Service was great the two times I went. meat was coming like unlimited and staff was very attentative AMBIANCE 10/10 very modern and nice. Clean and classy, but not too classy to where you need to wear a suit. overall 10/10 love this place. Price is reasonable and food is amazing
This place is an oldie but a goodie for sure. 20 years later, still good! The picanha is absolutely superb! The salad bar is great, as are the cheese bread and plantains. Service was absolutely top notch, very attentive. Dare I say better than the Fogo De Chao in Vegas?
12/31/23 My final review. I've been writing this draft in my head for months but I've already said what there is to say, and now after 18 years, a chapter ends and a book closes. Thank you Agora for being a part of almost every one of my life's milestones big and small for nearly two decades: birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, resignations, new business, meeting goals, breaking targets, injuries, surgeries, general gluttony. Thank you for taking care of me and everyone we've shared your tables with: friends, family, clients, colleagues, team dinners, students and their families. graduations, college acceptances, scholarship awards, farewell dinners. Thank you Giacomo, Gabe, and Alex for a wonderful 18 years. Your roles in our lives go beyond Agora's walls and we thank you for being part of our story. And thank you Yelp for an entertaining run. My first few years with you were turbulent as you're growing pains caused a mass exodus (including myself), but after watching you navigate that initial storm I returned and haven't left. It was fun being part of your expansion into OC and being able to share the early days of Agora with others here amidst a sea of monthly sushi events and YOCHH gatherings with LA community managers still running the show down south. Writing about food has served as an outlet but since I haven't written any reviews for two years, it's time to focus on other things. Thank you for an official 16 years and unofficial 19 years, almost all of which have been spent under Agora's roof. It's been fun. Cheers.
I came with a group for our group Christmas party. The restaurant management was very accommodating. The interior has a raised ceiling, it has a cozy and homey feeling. The BBQ servers come around and provided limitless of meat till you are fulfilled. The BBQ meat and shrimps were delicious, not dry at all. The self serve buffet bars has a good variety, including salad and fruit bar, which all tasted fresh. The entire restaurant and restroom were very clean. Definitely no complaint there. Overall, it's a 4.9 out of 5 for their hospitality, service, and great food!
Yum! It is an all you can eat Brazilian steak house. There is a self serve "salad" bar station that is full of side dishes such as salads, rice, beans, potatoes, vegetables, and palate cleansers. At your table you're also served cinnamon banana and cheese breads for palate cleansers. It's recommended that you eat a cleanser inbetween meats so you can fully taste each meat. The meats were good! They come around and carve you a fresh piece. My favorite was the tri tip!! The service was good. The servers with the meat were nice and attentive. Overall the ambiance was nice too. 4 stars because it's advertised as a fine dining place but it didn't give off that vibe. Free birthday dessert!! Thank you!
Celebrated birthday here. Half of the group must be present to be able to come in. Limit of 2 hours? Buffet food has decent choices. I do like their creamy corn but it's a bit sweet. Love the beets. For their meat, garlic picanha is delicious. Spareribs was tough but good as well. Picanha was a bit salty on my taste. Bacon wrapped picanha taste better, imo Banana was delicious. Cheesy bread was okay, but not for me. Coffee gelato is good, sweet though but good. Overall, it was a great experience for brazilian bbq. A bit on the pricey side. Busier on weekend. I'll go here again, if invited again here.
PROS: - One of the better Brazilian BBQ places to go. - The staff is super friendly and cordial. - The food is pretty good. You can never go wrong with the picanha. - The short ribs here were AMAZING! - The sides here are fantastic! - The parking is plentiful. CONS: - None.
Personally prefer Agora over Fogo. The salad bar and extra hot items make it worth it for me. I like that the items in the warmers change every so often and that the salad bar has some seafood items, salmon and shrimp. I would love see other seafood items as well. I read a few reviews stating there were cooked salmon before so it may be seasonal. I love the bottom sirloin the most. It has a good texture and flavor. I agree that you do have to be wary of which cuts you're getting as sometimes they are over done. Another surprise winner for me was the pineapple glazed ribs and pork sausage. The variety was pleasant and the vegetable options at the salad bar paired well. We got the flan, pineapple bread pudding and chocolate molten lava cake with a side of vanilla gelato for dessert and loved all three. None were overly sweet and plenty to share amongst 5 adults. Overall the service was great. Servers were all very friendly and quick to offer assistance when needed. The ambiance of Agora is a bit mixed. Some tables were dressed up and others dressed casual in leggings/sweats. There's a good distance between each table and the music was not overly loud making it easy to converse across.
